CG Computers Sdn Bhd was established in 1995 dedicated to serving the Apple market. With a vision and a handful of friends, we sought to “switch” people from using PC to Mac. In 2014, CG Computers entered the Android market by launching Urban Republic, a multi-brand mobile and gadget lifestyle store.

Today, CG Computers carries 7 brands under its belt including Switch, Switch+, Urban Republic, Samsung, Sony, Xiaomi and Huawei, and is incredibly humbled to have over 250 outlets across Malaysia and Singapore, serving customers from all walks of life. We are proud to call ourselves the “Apple Destination” for our customers to answer all their needs and questions. We also aim to be the go-to destination for all things smartphones and to provide the best retail experience nationwide with Urban Republic. Switch is an Apple Premium Reseller and Apple Premium Service Provider in Malaysia with outlets located in Penang, Kedah, Perak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Kelantan, Johor, Malacca, Sabah and Sarawak.

Return and Refund Policy

Applicable to products sold at our group of companies in Malaysia only.

Return and Refund for Core Product (mobile phone, tablet, computer and electronic products)

If the core product you are purchasing shows symptoms of a hardware failure upon its first use out of the box when you are still in our store, you have the right not to accept the item. Please let our crew know that you wish to change to another unit or cancel your purchase.

Please ensure that the item is able to be repacked with all the cords, adapters and documentation that were included when you received it.

Once you have stepped out of our retail store, we are NOT able to proceed with return and refund for your core product.

Defect-on-Arrival (DOA) Terms and Conditions

This DOA policy applies only to core products currently offered at our retail stores. As new products are offered, we reserve the right to determine whether or not this policy applies. The DOA for core products and other Non core products (accessories, casing, cable, bag and etc) offered at our group retail stores may differ.

If the product is deemed DOA by core product Technical Support after your purchase date, core product DOA standard product warranty will apply.

If the product is deemed by core product Technical Support NOT to be DOA, core product NON DOA standard product warranty will apply.

We reserve the right to test returned DOA and Non DOA product. If the condition of the product is misrepresented by the customer, we may impose a handling fee.

Return and Refund Policy for 3rd Party Accessories

Please check your accessories before you leave our retail store. Please let our crew know if you wish to change to another unit or cancel your purchase before you leave our store.

Refunds and exchanges will be provided in line with your rights as a consumer. We will only refund in the event the goods:

  • are of unacceptable quality (eg. due to a defect and deemed DOA by the manufacturer / supplier)
  • do not match the description of the package by which they were sold
  • and it is within 7 days of purchase

Refunds will not be provided if you simply change your mind.

We may need to send the item to the manufacturer for assessment to determine whether or not you are entitled to an exchange, refund or repair.

If we accept merchandise for return that does not fall into any of the above categories, we may charge a 30% restocking fee if the goods have been opened, or the packaging is damaged.

Please retain your proof of purchase.

Refunds
Our refunds are processed centrally around 14 working days. When returning a product for a refund, you will be asked for your name, address and signature as authorisation for the refund transaction into your back account or credit card.

We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions any time without further notice.

Terms and Conditions

Gift Card

  • The gift card is only valid once it is purchased and activated with monetary value added.
  • The gift card can be used at any Switch or Urban Republic outlets.
  • This gift card is valid for 1 Year from date of purchase and activation.
  • In case the value of the merchandise exceeds the value of gift card, the difference shall be paid by the bearer.
  • In case the value of the merchandise is below the value of gift card, the unused amount will be forfeited.
  • The value of the gift card cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Protect the gift card number and PIN to avoid misuse. CG Computers shall not assume any liability in case the gift card number and/or PIN gets stolen/compromised.
  • CG Computers shall neither replace the gift card nor refund cash for any loss of gift card.
  • Only the original, valid gift card would be accepted.
  • This gift card is the property of CG Computers Sdn Bhd and is not for resale.
  • By purchasing and using this gift card, customers will be deemed to have read and accepted the terms and conditions.
  • Available for purchase in-stores only.
  • Purchases of gift cards are not eligible to earn SURE points.
  • CG Computers reserves the right to amend the terms & conditions at its discretion without prior notice.
