iPod touch arrival

Latest date on SIRIM approval: 17th Oct 2008. If everything goes smoothly, we should be getting the iPod touch on 18th Oct. Still keeping our finger crossed.
Latest update on iPod touch.
iPod touch arrival is currently pending for country agency approval from SIRIM.
Tentatively the agency approval date is on 1st Oct, 2008 mid to end of Oct.
Please expect the iPod touch to be arrived at our store after Hari Raya. We will update as soon as we have the latest news. Keep tune in.
In the mean time, iPod nano 8G, iPod classic 120G and iPod shuffle are already at our stores.

Kanasai the SIRIM people…..nothing else to do izzit, fast fast approve la. goberment cacat the agency also cacat. What’s holding them up for approving a simple tiny little media player….NOOOB.

I suspect it’s the wireless/bluetooth chip that lets you use the Nike+ pedometer with the iPod touch.

I can see the enthusiasm in all of you as Penang launches its Wireless@Penang project..
The coming months will be very exciting n let us appreciate what the state gov has done n going to do in the near future. Penang definitely ‘boleh’ no doubt about that..

How come there is no any accessories for all the new NANO and TOUCH ?
i jz brought a new NANO and i wish 2 get a screen protector or a pouch..
GOT nano but NO accessories ; NO iPhone but GOT accessories..
weird n funny huh ??? other reseller which locate in KL provide a better deal dan SWITCH.
so i am going to share dis v ma frens around..

battery life for iphone does not last that long…i’d suggect getting ipod touch and keep your current phone for the moment..

this is crap lah..i mean i’ve waited so long..okay i dont mind waiting but why does sirim make it so hard on people hmmm? all i can say is this, be patient..it pays to be patient ppl, trust me, i think this ipod touch is worth the wait..

But man, this sucks. Why must SIRIM be this slow in approving the iPod Touch? It’s not like Apple brand is some kind of cheapo brand. I mean it’s Apple we’re talking about, have some confidence in their products’ quality and quickly approve it.

How can they now push the release of the ipod touch to end of the month? this is really not fair for people that have already place a deposite and expecting it to come this week. Thumbs down.

It’s the same situation when Apple released their new MBP.
At first, I was so eager to get my MBP…
But after weeks and weeks of waiting with the same reason ( waiting for approval from SIRIM), the product starts to lose it’s ‘uhmmm’.
I directly drop an order as soon as it’s launched but I waited near 2 months for the product… how disappointing…
other ppl is starting to use the newly launched product, while we are here rotting for the product…

By the time the ‘good people’ at SIRIM releases the Ipod Touch, a newer version will be released by Apple. Why do we ALWAYS have to be the last in getting the latest products?

i agree abt losing the “uhmmm”!! i was so happy when i tout the ipod touch gonna release in sept so i save up my money for it..but who noes it takes weeks to get approval from sirim?!!!
so i ve given up on the new ipod touch and got myself a iphone d instead..and its already here!

Right, our neighbor Singapore is giving free engraving for d funnest ipod…can Switch do it as well? Where is d Malaysia boleh spirit..? Come on Switch & Sirim…just do it.
Come to think of it we could do it too, I have friends coming from US..Just buy it n save some RM like rocsta put it.

it’s amazing really, if the “ummph” decrease, perhaps you should be glad, afterall, wouldn’t you have saved money wasting it on something you will lose interest in a few months? i have an ipod nano 3G(btw, i like the 3G better than the 4G even with it’s limited features), until now i use it everyday, if not for videos at least or upmost, the music. i’m giving it away after i get the ipod touch 2g, in fact, i think i’ll use the ipod touch to it’s eventual demise. i have to say, ipod touch 2g looks the best so far in terms of an Mp3/PDA device, and it’s the closest thing to an iphone and i believe far more worth it than the iphone, afterall, if you wanted a phone, go samsung, motorola or something like nokia..far more stable and cheaper. I don’t blame apple, switch or machines, i blame SIRIM, Malaysia was never fast in anything we do except pointing fingers at innocent civillians but that’s a whole different story. since ipod touch 2g is not here, perhaps it’s time we all evaluate whether we really want it for the long run or just another toy to show off to the folks at the mall eh. i do hope it comes out this month, in fact i wish it was now, i’ve been eyeing this device since it’s debut here, i was like damn, that’s one fine machinery but of course i got the ipod nano 3g, which IMO, is the most satisfying Mp3 player i’ve ever used, and let’s say i’ve had a stack of Mp3 players i’ve used so far. besides the shape, it has a decent sound even though it prolly cannot beat zen creative’s bass and treble sounds. but to get to the point and cut this story in half, just be PATIENT once again because i predict that this(ipod touch 2g) will satisfy even the least device-savvy person.

Why not go to other country and buy it there?

sirimsucks..it is cheaper to buy outside malaysia but it’s the other expenses that makes it expensive..
